DESCRIPTION:The Governor of the Riksbank (Sweden’s Central Bank)\, Stefan Ingves\, will talk about Sweden’s role in an increasingly internationalized world. He will discuss the meaning of Sweden being a small open economy\, not least during crises such as the corona pandemic\, and give his perspective on our historical attitude to international cooperation. Stefan Ingves will also talk about the challenges he sees with increased internationalization and what it means for Sweden in the future.\nStefan Ingves took up Governor of the Riksbank (Sweden’s Central Bank) and Chairman of the Executive Board on 1 January 2006. Stefan Ingves holds a Ph.D. in economics and has previously been Chairman of the Basel Committee\, Director of the Monetary and Financial Systems Department at the International Monetary Fund\, Deputy Governor of the Riksbank\, and General Director of the Swedish Bank Support Authority.
